Recording starts at zero
- Choose when recording starts: with the countdown, or at zero, when your livestream begins. By default it starts at zero, so the wait before it isn’t recorded; to record the countdown too, turn on “Record during the countdown” in Settings → Recording clock.

When two people talk at once
- Better switching when two people talk at the same time: the wide shot opens even when one of them speaks softly.
- Steadier voice detection that uses less of your Mac.
- Fixed: a completely silent channel could confuse voice detection.

Better voice detection
- We improved voice detection. The Live Switcher tells better who is talking, even when someone leans back from their mic or comes closer.

A clear notice in the preview
- The ATEM preview says it plainly. It works only with the ATEM’s USB-C cable: over the network the ATEM sends no video. If the Mac doesn’t see that cable, the monitor tells you.

A clock everyone sees
- A recording clock for the TV. It shows, big, how long you’ve been recording, in its own window for a screen in the studio. It starts by itself when you record or when you decide (⌘T), with or without a countdown and a message at zero. It can show the time of day or timecode, carry your logo and your colors, and stay on top of the other windows. Whoever is operating sees the same count next to REC.
- More reliable recordings. We fixed a problem that could drop little bits of audio while the computer was busy. Now the recording comes out complete and in sync.
- Always REC, on by default. ▶ records too. Only ■ stops the recording, and it asks first.
- Markers. Press M while recording to mark a moment. The marker shows in the Editor and goes to Final Cut, Premiere and DaVinci.
- More natural manual cuts. After you cut by hand, the automatic switching waits 3 seconds and then follows whoever is talking again — also when you cut to a camera you only use by hand.
- Everything closer at hand. “Saved sessions” is now next to the Podcast Editor and in Settings. Settings is laid out in two columns. When you stop, the last 60 seconds stay still so you can look back at them.
- It keeps an eye on the disk. It tells you how many hours of recording fit and warns you before recording if less than an hour is left.
- Shows with more people. With 7 to 12 mics or cameras, everything adjusts so you see it all: the meters, the assistant and the Editor.
- The MIX label, only when it’s sure. It now marks only the console’s stereo mix: two neighboring channels that sound exactly alike. You pick the other channels.
- A quicker connection to the ATEM. If the first try fails when you open the app, it tries again right away instead of waiting.

The public beta
- Live Switcher. Automatic switching for the whole ATEM family, by who is talking — with an assistant that learns each voice and keeps measuring them during the show.
- Podcast Editor. The multicam edit for Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, from a session or from files, synced by timecode or by sound.
- Session recording. A 24-bit WAV per mic and every cut, saved every 5 seconds.
- Errors that explain themselves. Every error says what happened, whose side it’s on and what to do, with a code.
- Spanish and English.
